Catherine Berk holds a Masters in Tax Law (LLM UCT) and a Masters in Marine and Environmental Law (LLM UCT). After qualifying as attorney she spent several years in the commercial world, working in the fields of property and electronic commerce, before returning to legal practice to practice for her own account.

She has consulted to a diverse range of clients in the commercial and environmental fields, ranging from environmental ngo’s and civic associations to corporate companies. She is a committed advocate of the business case for sustainable development and she has a strong interest in community based resource conservation and heritage resource issues.
